Re: TrackMania United Forever - "incorrect server reply"

Uh oh... game2 address is doing this for me tonight. Tried from 2 different installations (Nations, TMUF) on 2 different computers on 2 different networks.

Set up a proxy and connect through that. The launcher has proxy config on the Network tab under Configure > Advanced.

Re: Playing TM with a handmade steering wheel?

I use an XB360 controller, left-handed with a glitchy thumb on the left stick, and it feels much better than a keyboard IMO. My hindrance to professional level is an inherent inability to after 1.5 years, but generally I am able to maintain a top5 position among 30+ other people in short track serve...

Re: Prevent download of OGG music files

Not always an option. Sometimes, the network is state run. In rural areas, you have little choice--possibly satellite, if you want 200ms ping times. I received confirmation that the e-mail I sent has been forwarded to the 'nadeo team'. Whether that means devs or marketers, it's in there now. Fingers...

Re: Banned of FreeZone Server New Lol short tech

Happens to me from time to time. More often, it's if my client attempts to send an accidentally invalid time and the server is configured to autoban (I fear small multilap tracks for this). Gives me a bit of stress, but the block usually clears itself within a day or two. Other than waiting it out, ...

Re: Car Skins Not Working!!!!

Shortcuts aren't magical portals like hardlinks or junction points to make a file appear that isn't really there. They are distinct files by themselves, with a file extension .LNK hidden by the Explorer shell. XP shortcuts look like this in hexadecimal|OEM: http://sites.google.com/site/zandro/tmlink...

Re: Car Skins Not Working!!!!

Well, there is. You would need to non-destructively resize your partitions. Ever use a Linux bootable Live CD? Get your hands dirty and discover the awesomeness of GParted , or buy a copy of Acronis Disk Director. Beyond this, there needn't be anything else to say on the matter, except that one shou...

Re: Relay server going mad

188.165.237.63 doesn't seem to be too random... It's an OVH dedicated server, often used for hosting games, torrentboxes and the like--heavy P2P stuff. Something could have happened on the hosting end like an IP failover or DNS propagation error. Who knows. It makes sense if they are who you use to ...

Re: Prevent download of OGG music files

Not a bit. Local storage is not the problem. Transfer limitations artificially added by the ISP is. In fact, the primary purpose of this cache is to aid in the scenario I am to be in. Removing its contents would be a bad thing.

Re: Car Skins Not Working!!!!

Each car skin can be in its own separate zip file. For example, I have WindBlaster.zip and Lotus Carlton.zip, each with their compressed contents at the roots of the zipfiles, i.e. no folders within the zip file. Both are available at the end of my vehicle selection screen. Those you don't need at a...

As we all are aware that we can change the name of the things if we want You are replying (in OP's own words) to an attempt showing otherwise. Dexu is still Dexu, so it is likely your name won't be changed. Also, [quote]quote tags embody previous statements.[/quote] *Edit: It's a spambot SEO linksp...

Re: Prevent download of OGG music files

Thanks for the information. I've decided escalate my question via an e-mail to nadeo's contact address and hopefully wait for an uncanned response. There are much harsher transfer caps out there, still topping out at 10 GB for certain residential ISPs. And let's not think of the potential copyright ...
