Re: SunRise wont Start on Vista

I think the problem might be related to the Starforce protection included with Trackmania Sunrise which isn't vista compatible right out of the box. Of course I might be wrong, but I believe the protection only tries to start once you click launch. A quick way to tell if this is the case is, when yo...

Re: Search is useless...so asking here

There are special start and ending points, ones with green and red arrows in them, these are start and ending points. I'm not quite sure what the multilap checkpoints look like in the editor. As for the crashing, I've never experienced any crashing on my XP desktop, neither the one with a 6800gt or ...

Re: Starforce Copy-Protection??

Personally I still think it's funny how much flak Starforce is catching with stuff like that, considering one of the most used alternatives SecuROM buries deeper down into your system using something looking like rootkits, and dictates what you can and can't run on your computer alongside you playin...

Re: Why isn't Trackmania more popular in the United States?

I have no clue about american mentality when it comes to games. That it's created by a small european game studio probably doesn't help. I tried introducing one of the people I know online to TMN when it was released and his first reaction was "I can't ram the other people off the road? LAME!" It co...

Re: Any chances to see Trackmania on the Xbox360 and PS3 ???

I think it would work fine on the consoles really, though it'd be a bit limited how much people'd want to chat. Coding for the PS3's special architecture is likely going to prove more bother than it's worth though. The game's having enough trouble using a multi-core PC as it is. Currently I think my...

Re: TRACKMANIA ON NINTENDO DS... IT'S OFFICIAL!

Great news. I've been considering getting a DS, this definately pushes me closer to doing so. I'm wondering though, what goes on the top and what on the bottom screen? How does steering work? The D-pad might cause a bit of trouble with fast switches, and that got me thinking about whether the DS has...

Re: Car Hider

Thank you for clarifying that Fleckman. Haven't been in a rounds game since Sunrise. Haven't been able to find any servers playing rounds with a mix of environments when I've gone online. Just thought that was what the "hide too close" option was for.

Re: Car Hider

I'm still not sure how it could be a good advantage in rounds, except maybe it's a bit confusing with everyone, and a bit of a dip in framerate.

Generally I like Rounds mode though. The confusion is half the entertainment. And camera and hide too close makes it fairly easy to handle too.

Re: Car Hider

Just wondering why you'd consider it cheating Fleckman, other than the fact that you'd need to have somehow modified the game's memory. Seeing the other people online isn't part of the online challenge as far as I know. In fact, it just makes it actually fun to play online, and gives you a bit of in...

Re: Can I play Nations via United?

You can play the old Nations tracks with TMU, but you can't play on nations servers. However after forever it might be possible to play on nations forever servers from united.

Re: Trackmania no longer starts

Just wondering where you bought the game? Might help figure out which publisher released the game. It ought to have come with at least one key, the key to create an online account with. The key it asks for is likely the trackmania disc key which was required on some versions. Also starforce would al...

Re: Expired Serial Number: I'm Going Nuts...

Are you sure you check your spam filter to ensure it doesn't end up in there? I'm guessing the new codes would be generated or at least sent on a template. A spam filter might pick this up and flag it as spam and delete or at least toss away the mail. Happens to a deal of online key based systems.

Re: Sell TMO, TMSX and TMN on STEAM please!

Yeah, it's nice to be able to add a track to your solo campaign, and be able to get more tracks to set times on. The 10 coppers isn't much, since basically that just means you pay for the first official run (which costs 0 first time on a custom track too)

Re: Serial number entered has not been found on the server...

I would try contacting their support as the system you are having problem seems to be part of the activation by GamersGate. Might get some help that way?

Re: Bad Login!

If you still have your old PC and the installation you should be able to find the username and/or password in cleartext in the default.systemconfig.gbx or what it was the filename was.
