Re: TRACKMANIA BETA circa 2002-2003

Has anyone out there still got any pre-release versions? It'd be interesting to see how the old blocks drive. PM me please. ^^

Re: TRACKMANIA BETA circa 2002-2003

.... one of the things I remember crazy about the old TM that isn't in the current version were these pieces of track in desert that went straight up a cliff side If it's the block I'm thinking of, it's still around even in TMUF, just hidden from the editor. It's used in this track: http://united.t...

Re: TMUF Track editing

You could have at least provided more information about the problem you were trying to solve. If you'd done that, this thread would have been over in 2 posts on the same day you asked it, not after 15 posts and nearly 2 weeks.

Re: TMUF Track editing

If you look at the icons for the blocks they all have a number in the top left. When you start the editor if you press 1 then 1 again, that's the 11 block. It's the basic block of land you put down in bay. Similarly, if you press 7 and then 1 and then 6, that's the 716 block.

Re: TMUF Track editing

Screw it; I'll make some assumptions: - you're working in the bay track editor - advanced editor - trying to place block 716 To do that 1. put down a big rectangle of the 11 block 2. press PgUp and put another big rectangle of 11 on top 3. put the 716 block on the edge of that building. Make sure yo...

Re: TMUF Track editing

Ok, you need to supply more information to help yourself out. - Are you talking about the bay track editor? - Are you talking about the advanced editor? - Are you talking about placing block 5-1-1? I think the answers to all the above are probably "Yes", but I want to make sure. In general, the more...

Re: Car tilt in Desert jumps

Nonsense. Read the thread before posting. In the first post the author says he tried that and it doesn't work. You know why he said that? Because it's about the first thing a TMN or TMS driver will try, but in desert it doesn't work! :P Go try it on DesertA5. Wait... did I just feed a troll? Dammit!...

Re: Bring old tm original blocks back

The desert blocks got replaced because they didn't work well with external cameras. Maybe they'd work better now with some MT to force internal camera. http://www.tm-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=22050&p=157829#p157829 For rally I think the block with the road through the house got replaced by... u...

Re: Car tilt in Desert jumps

Press one of the steering keys when you're in the air, and hold it. The longer you hold, the more the rotation of the car gets damped. iirc you need to press the opposite steering key to the last one you pressed when on the ground. Since it's easy to make a mistake about which one was the last one y...

Re: New environments for TMUF?

My "hellish" problem, is that I made a simple joke that any normal person would have laughed off, but you decided to make a big issue out of it. I have very limited tolerance for - fools - hypocrites - bullshitters - the self-righteous - the clueless In this thread you have demonstrated that you are...

Re: New environments for TMUF?

What *exactly* *is* your point? That you can hit nerves? That was your point? Because you made it really badly. Since you indulge in more vague hand-waving instead of actually saying what you mean, I will christen it "The Emperor's New Point". Your bluff is being called. Again . You got comprehensiv...

Re: New environments for TMUF?

Clearly, you are far more advanced than most people. Condescending, hmm, yeah, I see your point. talking rectum Constructive criticism, yeah I got ya. Hypocrite. I quoted your entire post because the whole thing was simply condesending and unnecessary The reason normal people don't usually quote th...
