Videos longer than 50 seconds are invalid

Post by kjc24 » 12 Dec 2009 20:11

I can't think of any reason why this is happening. Any video that is longer than 50 seconds and you are using uncompressed full frames, you can't play the AVI file that comes out. Any replay that is 45 seconds or less is compiled without a problem and I can watch on any video player.

It's not even over 4 gig, more like 2 gig, so it's not at the limit of AVI possibilities.

With replays longer than 45 seconds, I normally compile using XVID, but after you convert to wmv it just looks horrible quality and really pixelated...

Any solution to this?

I normally shoot using 1024x576 1xAA without motion blur.

i just googled it, and could find lots of threads on various forums about problems with avi files bigger than 2Gb, which appears to be a bad idea.
so just configure a compression, and export compressed video.
as much as the trackmanias may rule, carmageddon 1 & 2 are still the best games ever :D

yes, this bug is quite new, it used to work fine in the past... today, everything above 2gb is trashed when written into a file
i recommend shooting with x264 in lossless mode
