Help with NAT.

Post by Aidan » 20 Aug 2010 00:00

So, I joined and found a couple of topics about NAT. They all said that going to Portforward would explain it all. Well, it doesn't. Trackmania is not in the list on the site. I'm not the administrator on this computer, and I didn't install the router. What do I do?

Contact the "administrator" and get him to open ports 2350, 3450, 2351 and port 5000 for use to your local ip

How would one go about opening said ports?

In the router configuration ... check the manual for it for the procedure (it varies alot for different rand routers).

I use a netgear and you have to creat a rule to forward the said port number to local IP addy (TCP and UDP (both ways ..its jsut easier not to be picky xD) (eg: 2351 to 192.168.0.1) and then turn this rule on in the services.

Wish you luck :D

Go here http://portforward.com/
Find your router/modem
(skip the ad if needed after selecting your router)
Pick the game; in this case Track Mania
Follow the steps
TM name: wolf68k
Display name: Wolf68k (the 8 is actually white ingame, kinda hard to do here)

When I put in the IP and the username/password, it just pops up again.

What router is it?
You do know your router's password, right?
