TrackMania United Forever - "incorrect server reply"

I've been playing TrackMania Nations Forever for a while now and decided to upgrade to United. I paid for it on Steam, downloaded the new content to convert my existing installation and loaded it up. Upon being prompted to enter my upgrade key, I clicked the button and noticed it was already loaded, so I hit Convert.

No go. I get an error box stating;
"An error occured during operation:
incorrect server reply
Conversion aborted."

I have no idea why this is happening. Deleting and reinstalling the game also failed to help. Advice on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
I paid £20 for it and have only owned it for a few hours, I don't want to start regretting that decision so early on.

I have the same problem. Bought the game just under an hour ago..

Bought it via the link which was presented to me in the free version of the game. Downloaded the game again using the downloader the page requested me to use.

Any help would be appreciated, if it is not too much trouble.

Correction, 'was'. I've been willing to be patient seeing as it was a holiday but the Easter weekend has passed now.

No matter. I know the devs are only human, so I'll wait a bit longer before requesting a refund.

Hi there,
I have the same problem as you guys, I've bought my TMU too and I keep getting that message when I try to convert my account :S

Keep waiting, even if (I know) it's annoying. You know, I can't repair this problem as I'm not a member from Nadeo staff.
But be optimistic and just think that the problem will be fixed soon.

It would appear the problem has been fixed. Randomly tried to convert my account again and it works.
