Using Transparant style in an Popup window

Post by calsmurf2904 » 24 Jul 2008 13:25

Hello,
is it possible to use the transparant style in an popup window ?
i mean :

Code: Select all

$data = "Hello,\nThis is an popup window\nThis creates an small window on the screen\n";
$this->sendPopupWindowToLogin($login,$data,"Popup Window");
is it possible in this case to make the screen transparant ??

Well... as far as I know, popups are no longer used, in favor of maniacode. So basically... use a transparent 'mania-image', and code up the proper events, etc...

I haven't done much work in that regard, but I'm sure you could find some good examples in the jukebox plugin.

Popup windows are still very much used, and they are all coded with manialinks.

As for the transparent background, we thought it better to leave popups solid because they're meant to bring attention to themselves.

I guess we can make them part of the xml style and just default it to solid. That way it can still be changed.
