remoteCP 4 Beta

Post by hal|Sascha » 11 Mar 2008 11:12

Hi everybody!

I'm currently searching some (beta)-testers for the new remoteCP 4.
It will use a new javascript framework and also includes remoteCP4 [Live]...

Don't know what [Live] means? Risk a look at this screenshots...

The Beta is only running on TMU...
I'm sorry, but there is no TMN support at the moment. I kicked all the TMN specific code away 8)

Since the remoteCP4 full release is planned for the Forever update(s) I hoppefully bring TMN support back later, if there are differences.

Some people might ask what remoteCP4-[live] exactly is.
It's a tool like Aseco or Fast3 but more or less the lightversion of it. My intention while I was creating the first code lines of [live], was to have only one tool with one setting file!

Certainly seems interesting....

Love the look of the panels. Smooth, clean, and unobtrusive. Integrated in-game/in-browser -- great idea!

Wish I could try it out, but I'm a tmn guy. Might know one or two ppl who might be interested though.

Just makes me hunger for TMN:F all the more, with all that pretty manialinking...

Hello, i'm intersted too. Can i make some suggestions for your new version ?.
can you add some functions inspired of TMweb. More precisely, for the players page. With TMweb, we can see the characteristics of the player (Login, IP, color code) Very practical for admin.

Contact me by private message for beta test.

Thanks for your works

PS: i'm french, so if you want a translator ^^ (for new language interface ) i'm happy to help you .

hi!

Haven't seen TMWeb for a long time now, does this tool is still in developement? I thought it would be nearly dead!?
I currently planing a playerdetails popup window (like for challenges) that shows such infos.
A french translation would be great, I will upload the englisch language files as soon as I think I'm done with all the language things :)

Btw: I released beta#5 on german forums some days ago and I think it runs really well, but since beta5's webinterface wasn't working really good I will wait for beta#6 until I release it here too (also have to write some more documentations in english  )
I currently working on the improved interface, new forms, style and some new options like last/restart/next directly in the top-right "quick" bar :)

About, TMweb, yes developement is "a little dead" :| .

Yeaah :3 exactly what i hopped

Very Good idea, very useful.

I can translate only English into French and no German into French ...sorry  .So, to be serious, tell me when you are ready (you must have much work) . I stand your PM  .

Edit:
Hello, i used the 3.3.2 version and i updated to 3.3.3. Again some suggestions (i have the easier situation: i suggest .. you work :? sorry). So, after update, i'm so supprised: chat works up to down   it's very amazing. It's your choise ? or it's a bug ?. In the other direction, it's more practical ...i think.
About, css style : if you can (and if you want  ) try this : chat background-color:#595956 and text size 14px. . (for aseco and gery chat display it's more clear ;) for other i don't know.

Thanks for your work.

I mentioned a 'fix' for this in the RemoteCP 3.3.3 thread:
Quick hack for those who prefer the old chat style...

\plugins\Chat\index.php

comment/delete this line (~72)
$ChatLines = array_reverse($ChatLines);
Change 'scroll' to 'auto' on this line (~136)
echo "<div id='chatcontent' class='small' style='height:350px; overflow:scroll;'>";
I like the idea of having a scrolling chat box to keep the div size from jumping sizes, but I just can't get used to the upside-down chat. Don't think it's possible to have php automatically scroll it to the bottom on each refresh.
