XAseco in Ubuntu

Post by nicomoore0 » 30 Sep 2011 15:01

I am trying to install XAseco in Ubuntu, I have Apache2 installed, how do I point my Aseco.bat or Aseco.sh to my php? My current one looks like this:

Aseco.bat

Code: Select all

@echo off

rem ****** Set here your php path *******

set INSTPHP=\etc\init.d\Apache2\Php5

rem *************************************

PATH=%PATH%;%INSTPHP%;%INSTPHP%\extensions
"%INSTPHP%\php.exe" aseco.php

pause
and my Aseco.sh looks like this:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh
cd /home/tmf/xaseco
php aseco.php TMN </dev/null >aseco.log 2>&1 &
echo $!
When I try to run it I get this:

Code: Select all

root@S04001011702AJ:/home/tmf/xaseco# sh Aseco.bat
Aseco.bat: 1: @echo: not found
: not found2:
Aseco.bat: 3: rem: not found
: not found4:
: not found6:
Aseco.bat: 7: rem: not found
: not found8:
Aseco.bat: 9: %INSTPHP%: not found
: not found9: %INSTPHP%extensions
Aseco.bat: 10: %INSTPHP%\php.exe: not found
: not found11:
: not found12: pause
root@S04001011702AJ:/home/tmf/xaseco#
What am I doing wrong?

Any advice?

Thanks

You want to run the aseco.sh file, not the .bat one. .bat is a windows only format.

Ok, thank you. But what should the Aseco.sh look like? I am a Linux noob, just getting used to it, as they say practise makes perfect. I have php5 installed, so what should the path to it look like? I'm running Ubuntu 11.04.

Thanks

Leigham already said it, you ran the wrong file. Just run the .sh one instead

The user you're running the .sh with is different from the user owning the /home/tmf/xaseco directory.
See steps 1 and 2 of the included Quick Start Guide. Follow that one exactly, and everything should work.
