I will come out and say this right here and now....

If this new Trackmania game comes out and has everything I'm hoping it has (True force feedback, spectating mode, manual transmission option, a Ridge Racer-style drifting system, improved online netcode, etc) I would be willing to pay over $100USD for it!!! No kidding.

That is how much I love arcade racing games.

Now if it turns out the game's third environment is a futuristic Sci-fi one with F-ZeroGX-like scenery and elements, then I am willing to pay up to $1000USD. No, I am not exaggerating.

Am I crazy?

for tm2 i would buy it for 100 euro's. You know the software has an user friendly editor, you can customize about everything and you don't have to be too technical to do it compared to other games I know which also has alot of engine flaws :P

Well, I know plenty of people who will struggle with almost any "user friendliness" or "non-technicality"...
But I am really looking forward to this version of :lovetm :3 - but I wouldn't pay 100 EUR for it...

hehe, if those who always download games would play a moral commision of €1 , developers would earn at least 1 million more :P

$50-$60 (US) Sounds good

BUT, if it has Ubisoft's Uplay BS attached and requires a constant net connection, you'd have to pay me to take it...

[edit]My bad, the online services platform is the dealbreaker for me, not Uplay. I'd be willing to pay double if it means OSP won't be in this game...[/edit]

You guys are talking about "paying whatever"... watch it cost like 100$... I love TM, but I ain't payin' that. 30-50 seems like a good reasonable price that'd I'd be willing to pay.

You think ads are accurate? Go watch a trailer for starcraft II, then watch a gameplay trailer, then come back to me...

- There is a dedicated forum to talk about TM2 : http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewforum.php?f=3
- You will get ther first TM2 environment for less than 20€. After (ie several monthes later), will you buy the 2nd environment (and next ones) or not, it will just be your choice.

dHM. I'll pay as much as I pay for any other new game. 30-50 US dollars. End of story.

It would be great if the cars could actually touch each other. Imagine the epic mayhem that would insue with 50+ cars on the track. That'd be so much win.

Also a sci-fi environment would be awesome.

They've already made up their minds about collision: http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=79
Hylis wrote:For years we know what we would if we integrate the collision, but we do not because you have more important things on our list. Like for example make a good fps and good rpg.
Dreamcube017 wrote:Also a sci-fi environment would be awesome.
As far as I know the environments are already set - three new environments in TM2

@all
In the dedicated forum (thx to Slig) there is another quote by Hylis giving us a hint on pricing:
Hylis wrote:the price of each title will be independent. You can see this as smaller game release more often. The goal is to make a continuous release. If we release three environment in the year, at 19€90 each for example, then it would make you pay 59€70 each year for the three different environments and getting at the same time the online and engine evolution. And if you prefer only TM² and QM, for example, you can take only two and it will cost you less.
