A different sort of skinning...?

Post by Mac Matrix » 01 Feb 2007 16:44

Image

The idea of doing that came from a skin of a Capri that would, inexplainably, display as a modded StadiumCar on low car settings.

Has anyone ever done that to their Stadium Cars? Has anyone made it look good? Does anyone know how I even did it? lol

(for those who are dense, slow or otherwise do not understand what I have done to this car, I changed the otherwise unskinnable colour of the underside of the car, the thing behind the driver's head and the suspension / brakes. I just wondered if this had been done beforehand and been successful.)

edit

someone link an image if they managed to change the colour of the car rims. XD. Please, I want to see that but couldn't do it myself.

Haha oh. I see.

O_o;

I was just wondering if anyone had done it to the StadiumCar and made it good.

btw.

this is directed at everyone that mods stuff - is it possible to change the car tyre rim colours on the StadiumCar? I edited the relevant dds file but I don't know if there's a specific name the file must be in the mod file for it to work.

The custom details aren't supported online, are they?
In other words, can other players see your changes?

That's cool, it'll definately help let artistic people make cars look even more different.
Thanks for the confirmation, Mac Matrix.

I edited that. For some reason it wouldn't work in the zip.

Does it have to stay named 'stadiumcarpilot.dds'? because I dropped the stadiumcar bit. I'll have to redo it later, when I get the neon shadow thing sorted.

(yes, I've Pimped My StadiumCar. rofl.)

I tested last night editing it to StadiumCarPilot and Pilot, and it didn't work, so I'm going to go looking into the Sunrise files and see what the tyre textures on there are named, since the rims themselves are in the skin dds on the other TM games.
