Hi there :)

I want to find the Gbx files (especially the lowpoly) of the StadiumCar that is already in the game, before any custom models are used/downloaded :)
I don't look after the 3D StadiumCar which is at CarPark, because it has a wrong lowpoly of the car :?

If you maybe know, some skins at Stadium (the stock ones) doesn't have any Gbx'es in the zip's, so the game replaces the models which isn't there, with the stadiumcar (that is located somewhere at the game). It's this StadiumCar i wanna get.

I have a little mistake that it is somehow in the file Stadium.pak, since i can't find it anywhere else at GameData :|



Oh, and i also have a different question:

At all cars with rear axel, i find one of them rotating wrong. Absolutely at ALL cars. Custom models, StadiumCar (HighPoly), all cars with rear axel.
Is there a file that controls the rear axel rotating, or that someone know about fixing this ? :) (i don't think it's a Gbx failure, since it's at all cars with rear axel)

Edit: Damn, maybe this topic should be posted at troubleshooting/technical support ...

As far as I know it's impossible to find the 'low poly' of the in-game stadiumcar.

The low-poly of the released model sucks yes, but you'll have to deal with it.


Also, the rear axel / cardan spinning the wrong way has been doing that since TMN ESWC and Nadeo probably won't fix it. =/

It's not exactly noticeable at racing speed anyway.

Even the highpoly of the in-game stadiumcar is impossible to find ?

The only way you'd get a solution is if Nadeo were to force wrx to correct the low-poly bug, and figure out and correct the error making the rear cardan rotate the wrong way.

(I've tried to find the game models. Ironically I did find in the logs during the betas a location of where the game was finding the car model, but I checked myself and found no such model and the game said it was in a 'virtual drive' so evidently the cars are very well encrypted.)

Sucks. =/

Why bother? Any environment vehicles can be used in any other environ too. Either copy the desert car zip to the other environs folders you'd like to use it in, or create the CarCommon directory structure beside the other 7 environs, and copy it there.

Start the game to load the new car choices into the garage slots, and there you go.

You should (the world is full of people who can't do the simplest of computer things like creating folders, so I can only advise : "should" here) now find the desert car is listed in the other environments, and should be perfectly usable.

Too stupid that only works with the DesertCar which is uploaded in CarPark, because the lowpoly of the in-game DesertCar is different than the lowpoly of the CarPark DesertCar ! (for me ^^) (as seen above with the StadiumCar) :?

...um...you said you liked the low poly of the desert car, you didn't mention that you were meaning the standard versions that ships with the game. I actually didn't realise the updated "HD" cars on the carpark were much different (beyond being more complex 3D vehicles and better 2D skins, which is the whole point of them being "HD" I'd suppose) as I've not used a standard car since I first started playing TM 5 years ago! :thumbsup:

However, if there are differences between old and standard, and new "HD" versions that strictly means you would prefer to use the old versions in other environs and avoid using the updated "HD" cars at all costs....well you're out of luck there sadly. As none of the standard car zips actually contain their model GBX shapes (embedded into the game files) there is no other option but to use the updated "HD" versions on the carpark which do...but that's apparently not what you were after.

Sorry (now be brave, bite the bullet and go use that desert "HD" car, you've no other choice! :D ).

If u see some mistake, write it to author and i think he will fix it... if u "won't tell it" then dont expect ,that the model fix itself... :roflol: :P
