To render chrome in TMU, you have to clone the parts you want to be chromed, and assign them to the glass material. Clone them 1, 2 or 3 times for a better render. Don't use chrome for you low polys, it's useless.
There's a clone function in TMU and a 'glass material'?

I'm really dense! Someone explain exactly how to do this, or else I will probably explode like a firework trying to figure it out.
If you clone the glas material, and have a part you want as chrome (coloured say blue) it will recive the render pass of the glass, ie it gets an environment map pass and look slike chrome, dont get exited its not very good.
Clone? Glass Material? Part?

How do I find the 'glass material' to clone? I told you I'm dense

Lol
Allright, i'll try to explain with a little example.

When you're in 3dsmax, you have you're car parts named sBody, gBody, dXXWheel etc...
The gBody part uses details.dds

For example, if you want to chome your car body, you have to clone sBody at the same place in 3dsmax, and collapse it into the gBody. So you'll have a car body in your dBody AND in you gBody. And to have chromed texture, you have to put the UVW coordinates of your gBody car body into black color with a black alpha.

I don't know if you understand my explanation, but with my english, i can't do better.

Lmao. I thought you was talking about in United here, Not 3DMax. Guess I'll have to download that to do it, then? rofl.

Still doesn't make any sense, though I'm not thinking on that as I HAVE used several 3D modelling programs in the past. I guess I'll have to prat around with the program first before figuring it out. lol. Silly me for getting the wrong idea of how you was doing all of this.
