Where do you find the collapse command in 3ds max? I've grouped all the objects and named it skin but I can't find how you collapse it.

Okay so I've named everything properly now I used collapse rather then group command and resetted the Xform so thers no naming issues (Finally!!!) but now we have a new problem, it's too big.

So now I need to figure out how to shrink it to fit inside the max box

First, don't you forget to do a "ResetXform" on all your parts?

If yes, and if you don't dtill got it, download the maxbox here.
Now import the maxbox in your scene without converting units, and take your "uniform scale" tool, to fit you model in the maxbox, and make a "ResetXform" anymore, or it will not work. Don't forget to delete the maxbox before exporting in 3ds.

Yeah got it now to find the uniform scale tool. Thought that might be how you do it, also thanks for all the help you've provided it's made things hell of a lot easier.

Right well I've got it half working, it's tiny, faces the wrong way, has no tires only the rims (although that's due to no details dds probably) and the wheels spin round the car like ferris wheels.

Personally I'm ecstatic that I finally got it to show up.

Edit fixed the size and tire issue well 2 out of 5 problems fixed isn't too bad.

To resolve your wrong way faces, select your whole model (all parts) and apply a "normal" modifier. Here you have 2 options. Tick "unify normals" and let the tickbox "flip normals" free.

To have your wheels turning correctly, you have to center the pivot of all your objects. In your command pannel search for "Adjust Pivot", then clic on "Affect pivot only" and "center to object". Now your wheels must turn correctly.

What's the fifth problem ? You quote only 4 ^^

bit of the model like half the wheels weren't showing up. And the model was in reverse.

Everything is fixed now and it works fine now all I have to do is skin it.

Erf, don't waste your time with skinning, ask a skinner to do it^^

I've made a Laguna this night, but the wheels are not spinning, don't know what's the problem, because an another model (skoda fabia) had the same parts, and it was alright with the wheels.

another problem: the rear lights are not showing, only from the front view (the light dummies are rotated well)
