TMS does not start

The launcher and that everything works fine but, When i click play on the launcher the launcher dissapears and the game doesnt start. Why?

I have a similar problem. After launching the game, the start screen appears but does not load, there is an error message instead:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error

Program: X:\Programs\TrackMania Sunrise\TmSunrise.exe

abnormal program termination

I am using Microsoft Windows XP HE SP3, PentiumR 4 CPU 3.00GHz 2.99GHz, 1.00GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600. I have the latest version of TMS (1.4.7).

Any help is very appreciated.

Here: a possible error: you does not restart your computer after installation!

That does not work either, but thanks for the reply. I have tried to play it on Win7 as well without any success, the error message remains.

I think TMS isn't available for Win7, only for XP. But I don't know.

well... i got it to run on win7 64bit..... it was on a laptop though

Yes, for me TMS works too and it's on Win7, but I really don't know why it works. Maybe the protection system (FrontLine) is off, but it's more a good thing.
