The Shrek 3D glasses work fine for me. Slightly skewed to the red (should be more green?), most noticeable in Rally. With Force Feedback, a great experience.

So can anyone confirm if the colours are indeed red/blue or red/cyan on the glasses that come in the retail box? I want to order some of mine but I want to get the correct colour.

I looked at some other 3d images and they look cyan even though they are designed for red/blue glasses.

You should use red/cyan.

The TMUF manual is mistaken.
It is red/cyan like expressman said.
Search the forum for "glasses" for third, fourth, and-so-on opinions. :)

Google can show you more places to get free 3D glasses.
Or if you don't want to mail, you can try to make your own

*sigh* I ordered three pairs of red/cyan glasses that were pretty nice quality. When I got them and tried them out, their lenses were opposite of what TrackMania uses. You are supposed to have cyan over your left eye and red over your right eye. Is there a hack or setting to get TrackMania to switch sides for the colors so that it will match up with the eye-to-color ordering that all the 3D glasses tend to use? Am I screwed? I can order the paper ones, which allow me to fold them any way I want, but I have to order a box of 50! lol

Red is usually left, according to Wikipedia(2nd paragraph) as well.

I don't currently have access to glasses, will try with a borrowed one before getting some myself.
Let's see if I can figure it out anyway...
In-game, in the menu at the top right enabling 3D, pressing * to get a full view of the planet, and...

The cyan "leaks" to the left, the red to the right.
The standard is red lens right eye, which would turn the red "leaking" invisible (you only see the cyan image with that eye).
That means you see the planet slightly to the left with your right eye, and slightly to the right with your left eye.
No, that doesn't make sense... so at least now we know it's not just your computer.

Weird that TM would deviate from the standard; maybe it's different in France?

yes 8) , and I wish more people were  (trackmania is a good start, now if they could render the right eye mirrored I am all set)

You can order them in sets of 2 for a $1 here (+S&H?)

I will look again, I am not sure if it is switched, that would be weird.

Back to what Tyler said about red and cyan being the wrong way around...

Red should be left, according to Wikipedia as well, and that's definitely what seems to be standard from the online shops selling glasses as well.
Then I remembered about the following picture, and managed to find it again.
See this Deep Silver thread for the picture.
Yep, Florent from Nadeo with a red lens in front of the left eye, like normal.
Also the red and cyan leakage seems to be like what it is in the final game.

Like I said, I never actually tested with the glasses, but I don't think my logical reasoning is flawed, and I'm assuming Tyler isn't talking nonsense.
Didn't Florent notice everything 3D was inverted?
The cars weren't actually driving on top of the track, but were more like holes in it?
The road going on in the distance was actually closer than the road right below the car?

Is there an option we're missing where you can switch the colours?
If not, can this bug be corrected?

On my pc everything seems to be right.

The red image is taken from a position shifted to the left so it looks right when you left eye sees this image.
The cyan image is taken from the right so it looks right if your right eye sees this image.

Can you please post a screenshot if you have problems? Maybe you graphics driver swaps the images or whatever.

tell you what sucks about 3D using the red/blue....i had optic neuritis a few years ago in my left eye, so red looks orange....pretty much all 3D glasses that use the red/blue combo don't work for me..........

sigh.

Thanks for the confirmation!

I just read the Wikipedia article, and I made an erroneous assumption. :(
I thought red lens turns red image invisible, so you only see the cyan, right shifted one, inverting the 3D effect.
In fact the red lens does sort of turn the red image invisible, but actually it's "white", or at least the brightest shade you can see with your monochrome eye.
Cyan looks black through the red lens (makes sense now that I think about it), meaning it's more "invisible" than red for that eye.
That and vice versa of course.

I was at my father's place today, wanted to borrow his glasses, but I forgot. :(
I really need to check with those glasses and see what things look like, but I think everything is just dandy after all.
Don't know what Tyler's problem is though; he never posted about his symptoms anymore.

Alright, I figured it out. It was, indeed, inverted on my computer. I had, and always have, 6x antialiasing enabled at all times on practically all my games. When I turned off antialiasing from within TrackMania, the red/cyan reversed back to normal and now my standard 3D glasses work correctly. Thanks for helping me look into this by confirming that my system was the only one experiencing this problem!
