Track With A REALLY INSANE JUMP

Post by pseudonymicbob » 28 Jul 2009 03:47

Here is a track with an insane jump. The time is really good for me and it will take i bit to learn 2 INSANE cuts in this track. http://tmnforever.tm-exchange.com/main. ... 78167#auto
God once said, "John, come forth and recieve eternal life" But John came fifth and recieved a toaster instead.

Oh, and BTW, I'm now in the top 100 for medals in my state :)

i can expect nobody's beaten my time yet. I took 2 insane cuts. And you'll have to figure out where they are.

Nice track, atheist Bob. ( i before e, except after c ).
Gold no problem.
Got Author - 1.10.82

The Queen Jadis replay has 2 beautifully executed jumps,
particularly the first, but there appears to be a break/restart in the replay
after the second jump.

How did you do that Queen Jadis ? :?:

Nice time.

Edit
My time now 1.09.94
That's it for me - the QJ method is too hard for me.

Hehe, i figured out which way could be the fastest, so i jumped to the side, passed 1st cp, jumped down to 2nd cp with quick respawn and went on :gobananas: .

Nice work, QJ, very inventive.
I could see the respawn, (Official Mode?).
It would take me too many coppers,
so will have to rely on my Solo offline attempt.

Cuts: If you swerve to the left before the insane jump, and hit the ramp going off the right, you are much less likely to crash on impact and you can take an insane cut. the second one: after you complete the insane cut, you can coreners easily.

Hopes that helps people get a better time.

There's a fixable speed killing rough spot in the track, pseudonymicbob. The exit from the accelerators onto the grass for climbing the bridge piece.
http://s111.photobucket.com/albums/n144 ... NEJUMP.jpg

I solved that in my own tracks by using a 2.1.1 standard track piece for exiting from the accelerators and onto the grass

I'm still only on bronze on your track, so it'll be a while before I can get gold, much less Author time on your track.

I think this topic should be renamed
Easy track with an insane jump.
You don't need to respawn to get the Author Medal
(unless you want to try and beat Queen Jadis).
Author is achievable with one jump sideways
at the first big ramp and just going round the rest of the track normally.
My replay was a bit messy, probably could improve my time,
if I could be bothered.

Pete, if you knew what kind of a player i was, this would be renamed Hard track with an insane jump.It took me around 20 tries to get the time i got, and after that, 30 more to try and improve it.

Fair enough.
I struggle with tracks that other people find easy.

However, I think that trackbuilding is far more difficult
and the effort put in, impresses me more than times.

Good Job, Bob.
