.bik plugin photoshop?

Post by bloosniper » 23 Feb 2009 13:19

Hey all,
I know how to make (moving) avatars with photoshop, then convert to .gif and then with RADVideo convert the gif to .bik.
Also I know how to make (not moving) avatars with alpha so "cut" them out of the image.
yesterday I tried to combinate all of them, so a moving GIF animation with alpa.
but this wont work:S.
The .GIF animation showed me this:

in game, converted to .bik, I saw the same blackness at the second frame.
the black frame should be my avatar (at forum) cutted out, so you only see the ghost.

I've tried to search for a .bik plugin for photoshop, so the alpha channel is working in the .bik, but I couldn't fins anything.
If there is, please send me an URL?
If there isn't can you explain me how to add the alpha channel in a .gif/bik?

oh btw, I used this site to make the .gif in photoshop: http://creativetechs.com/tipsblog/build ... photoshop/

Last i checked, .bik was a video format,
(had the fun of dealing with .bik when i was a Halo 2 Modder)

And because Photoshop is an Image Editor, not a Video editor, i highly doubt there will be a .bik Plugin.

i also dont think you can have an alpha channel in a .bik video file (or any video for that matter)

Actually DazzaJay, any photoshop from CS2 upwards can edit video.

I've had no joy with finding a bink plugin for it though as yet. :(

Ah, that explains it, i still use 7.0 because its Far faster than any of the CS versions. and more stable. (Who can argue with 8 Second load times on an old CPU, against 300+ second load times on CS3 on a Quad Core.)
