Thanks for the quick reply. would remotecp still work as i think that uses the ip address to access it.
If you host it externally then you have to change the ip on it (except if it accept a named ip and you have an up to date name with dyndns or such, but i don't know if remotecp can use a host name instead of an ip number).
If you host it locally (on wamp, easyphp, etc.) then remotecp will use your local address and not your public one, and you should use having static local ip anyway.

hi,
Tried to run the server on Ubuntu (VPS).
It seems that the server is on, but actually I can't access it by RemoteCP, ServerMania etc.
Maybe I am missing something?

You should also check the latest Logs/ConsoleLog.*.txt .

Hi there
My sv works and says "play" at the end.
But my friends can´t enter the game :x
I´m the only one who enters the server on party play and local games.
Please, can someone help me solving this?
I want my friends to come in the server..
Also about the URL of the server, i give it to them. But, what they to do with it in order to acess the server?

I think there is a bug in Gamemode 'Cup' at Score with the list methods 'GetCurrentRankingForLogin' or 'GetCurrentRankings'.

Tested with 2011-02-21 ('GetCurrentRankingForLogin' and 'GetCurrentRankings') and 2010-03-15 ('GetCurrentRankings').

If i request the current Ranking in race then the following result are returned.
'BestTime', 'BestCheckpoints', 'Score' have the right values:

I've experienced the same problems when trying to get Cup scores after an EndRound callback.. Sometimes before a map change the player scores retrieved by GetCurrentRanking (and those in the $_Ranking global of FAST, no idea where that comes from) were all zero. It's quite some time ago, I used the second but last dedicated server release.

It's very annoying, but in most cases you can detect it. When the next round starts the correct scores are available again. I was "modifying" the cup mode to give out points to finalists too, it was my second server plugin. Thanks to the extensive documentation available I was never sure whether it's really a bug in the dedicated server, FAST or my code..

Is it possible that there is some ugly bug with callvotes in this release? (2010-03-15 but afaik it happens with 2011-02-21 too but there i can use my XAseco plugin which uses onVoteUpdate to cancel all votes)

Everytime i set the readio to -1 the votes are accepted instantly, and if it is on 1 sometimes too...thats really annoying :/

i restarted my gameservers today and now every server crash with internal server error.
pls help me couse i dont know where the problem is.

btw i have that problem on around 80 gameservers.

edit: ok i have to split the server starts looks like my ip got banned by starting all servers at the same time

i test that with connecting to http://game.trackmaniaforever.com/onlin ... equest.php atm i get a time out trying to access that site and i can't start any servers.

edit2: again banned -.- can somebody tell me how long i have to wait between the starts?

yes, it isn't a problem you just need a very fast mysql server to handle the XAseco's. XAseco produce lots of load while in idle thats anoying couse it produces lots of mysql traffic.
Would be awesome if Xymph would implement a idle feature for Xaseco couse if you have lots of XAseco it gets really expensive couse you need really good and expensive hardware.

That was already implemented in v1.15:
- added a dynamic idle period to the main loop in order to reduce the CPU load if system usage allows it

Thats nice thx for that info, next time i will read the release notes more carefully couse i really didn't reconize that improvment, so i have to update that weekend the rest of the xaseco. :gobananas:

Error 10060

I get the server goin to play np
I can connect locally np
I got the server in my fav list and i opened all the ports in my router on different ports than the game itself but when im trying to connect i get error 10060?

Can someone explain why?
