Car Hider

Post by CarHider » 14 Feb 2008 21:12

Hey everyone.

I got a nice little Tool from a Friend. With this Tool you can make the other Cars in a Online-Game invisible. I think its very useful for Wars (specially in Rounds-Mode) because the other drivers dont annoy you any more and you feel like drivin alone ...

I post it with this Fakeaccount because I dont want to be called as a "Leaker" or somethin else...

The Tool was made from Dude (I think he was a Member of BL)

Download: http://rapidshare.de/files/38578235/Car-Hider.exe.html

Have Fun with it

P.S.: And no, it isnt a Fake. I only want to share those things...

It might be a car hider, or it might be a keylogger to get your account password.

How else do you think they get all those TMN accounts?

And even if it is authentic - I would consider this cheating!

well leave a network monitor like tcpview or networktools on it to see what it is trying to do (sending stuff over the internet)

I'm pretty sure there is an option in game settings to change who shows up anyway. Should be on the game tab of configure check opponent limit count and set it to 0.

The program didn't work for me. Tried ctrl1 several times in TMN but the opponents didn't disappear..

Just wondering why you'd consider it cheating Fleckman, other than the fact that you'd need to have somehow modified the game's memory.

Seeing the other people online isn't part of the online challenge as far as I know. In fact, it just makes it actually fun to play online, and gives you a bit of information on where a good race line might be if you're not that experienced.

Only reason I can think of to remove other players from being displayed would be if your computer is too slow to properly play when there are opponents on it.

In rounds matches it is a significant competitive advantage that isn't accessible for others without this tool and therefore it is cheating.

I'm still not sure how it could be a good advantage in rounds, except maybe it's a bit confusing with everyone, and a bit of a dip in framerate.

Generally I like Rounds mode though. The confusion is half the entertainment. And camera and hide too close makes it fairly easy to handle too.

In rounds mode you all start at once. In league play this means 6 cars of players of similar quality that try to navigate through the extremely difficult first corners at the same time (I think league tracks are intentionally created that way, but I'm not sure - Zooz can probably shed some light on that). It's very difficult to stay focused on your own car and therefore the ability to only see your own car would be a tremendous advantage. Try it with 5 friends or a UL3 server and you will see what I mean!

Thank you for clarifying that Fleckman. Haven't been in a rounds game since Sunrise. Haven't been able to find any servers playing rounds with a mix of environments when I've gone online. Just thought that was what the "hide too close" option was for.

Yes, and league matches are usually close, so it's not like you don't see them any more after the first 2 corners.

Yes, league tracks are often made to have corners that are tricky with many cars in view, just look at the UL3 round 1 tracks. That Bay dock S-turn, the Stadium first turn with a small slide, the Rally hairpin...
Sometimes tracks are even not picked for the league because of their start making it impossible to see in Rounds with common camera modes (like a jump or a steep downhill part with a turn after it, where you can only see the cars behind you with cam 3)

Beside the fact of cheating... (i hate tools like this) have a look at the scan result of VirusTotal.com:

To be honest, no virus scan software is 100% proof but for you own security DON'T RUN/USE IT!
