Can't beat silver medal on TMUF BayC3

I tried this several hundred times, with breaks in between. I practised on the white and green tracks, where I have all gold medals. I cannot beat TMUF solo race BayC3 though.

Even if I make it ahead of the silver medal (about every 50th attempt, when I don't fail the transition from the black metal grid to the bridge access, or the jump from the bridge, or don't hit one of the toll stations), the final hill makes me jump left or right of the target.

Using an analog game pad, trying to avoid sliding, yadda yadda yadda. No chance.

This sh*t track is an epic failure.

The track itself is not a failure, just the medal times are out of balance with the rest of the game. Nevertheless, Silver and Gold medals are doable, only Author is nigh on impossible (for my skill level anyway).

What you are saying about the medal times for this track is exactly what I think. I think the track itself is a failure too (at least the ending: If you don't have an exactly straight course your final jump will inevitably end left or right of the track and the goal).

I cannot beat the Silver medal on this track for the love of God.

The author was in an idiotic mood when he built this track and determined the track times, imvho.

My skill level sucks compared to most and I can say I have beating Silver but just under 1sec...

Yes the track is a pain but then if you think that's a pain just wait until you see what the Black (E) tracks have in store for you. I haven't played nearly as much as I used to and I've only just managed to unlock the Black Stadium and Island tracks, which I was able to just make Silver on both of those.

Of all the United Race tracks, DesertE is the only other track I couldn't get Author medal on. So the other Black tracks are again doable with enough practice, IMHO.

The same cannot be said for a couple of dozen StarTracks though.

Personally I think they all have to be doable and to the Author medal. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Author medal set but they Author him/herself?

Author medal was set by the Game-developers. Since "Nadeo" is the Author.

And all medals are doable...
Try StarCampaign, those maps are made by amazing good players... those AT's are hard to beat

It took me forever to beat the author time on this one.
It must be one of the hardest challenges in the game.
I'm not a fast racer, so if I can do it, anyone can .
Especially seeing as I'm a pretty poor Bay-driver.
Oh, I use the keyboard by the way.

How I did it:
It's not to hard to be leading at the first few checkpoints.
The first tough part is the left-hander towards the hill. You need a good line to keep your speed up.
For the jump you need to land straight (a little air-brake worked fine for me), and you can't go too fast as
you won't be able to make the corner(s). I always aim a bit to the right (easier for the corner).
Keep the speed up out of the tunnel through the left-hander.
In the slalom section after the tunnel I always stick right...and hope I don't catch a gate .
Watch your speed through the final corner as I sometimes overshot the checkpoint.....

I daren't tell you how long it took me...and when I got the medal I only tied the time (36.09) but an author's an author .

StadiumE is pretty doable...

IslandE and DesertE are better doable with the cuts

I know Stadium is doable...just need to get motivated .
Island I suck at (I refuse to use anything else than a keyboard) though I know the author time isn't as bad as it could have been.
Desert..well, I got the gold without cutting the first part. Relearn the track and I should get it .
