Mine takes a lot longer close when you quit the game.

Its probably just because someone restarts his race again after everyone else has started

There is a nex fix indicated in the new dedicated release post by xbx
xbx wrote:The is also a new fix for the game, which fixes an issue with the referee mode. (The referee didn't validate scores of disconnected players.)
It's available here:
nations: http://files2.trackmaniaforever.com/TmN ... _Setup.exe
united: http://files2.trackmaniaforever.com/TmU ... _Setup.exe

(it's really only needed for use as referee, it's exactly identical to 2008-07-30, except for this one referee mode fix.)

There are again new client fixes along with the new dedicated release by xbx:

(it's really only needed for use as referee, it's exactly identical to 2008-07-30, except for the referee mode fixes.)
This brings both client and server to version 2.11.19 (with the previous update the server was accidentally left on .16 while the client went to .17).

I have a question: What's the point of having an update button if it doesn't work? I've only stumbled on this post following a google search. I can't seem to find any reference to TMUF patches on the main Nadeo site(s).
How frequent are these patches?

They're optional fixes, like the thread title says, not required updates. For some unknown reason Nadeo feels better about them this way.

Read this entire thread and you'll know.

Excuse me for posting here.

But since reinstalling my copy of Windows XP (to install SATA properly) Trackmania keeps giving me that 'your graphics card performance has not been found. automatic settings may be inadequate' message every time I load it up.

Funny thing is I can play on max fine but it's just an annoyance xD.

Maybe it's the nVidia 180.84 beta drivers? Just wondering if there's a fix. Got the latest patch on TMNF too, btw >_>
