The future of TrackMania

Post by Florent » 10 Sep 2009 21:19

TrackMania Nations Forever has reached five million players in less than 18 months.
TrackMania United Forever continue to break all it's activity record, week after week.

But the TrackMania community waits for something else than numbers!!!

The Nadeo team is glad to reveal the future of TrackMania at the Paris Game Festival

TrackMania (Wii)

No, there's already a one preview here, and googling might turn up more.

But of course it's possible something else is unveiled that wasn't previously announced. :)

TrackMania Wii is just one part of the future of TrackMania.

I think that for the TrackMania community, the main part will be something else

Maybe Trackmania DS2? xD

I have no Idea what it is but I hope it is worth calling it a "red boost", otherwise you risc to lose a TMU-player (or some more)^^. I personally hope that it is something to buy like an Add-on, because spending money means that there is a loooooot of work in there. But if it is a 2MB updatepatch then i am going to :gotcha:. But I trust you guys from Nadeo that it will be worth for the PC-Trackmaniacs.

27,6% of the registred users of the game, since 2006, connected in August. This is the record ever on it. Honestly, United players are there, more than ever!

But like I said, the community care less about numbers than real stuff :pil
And they will have something big!!!

(bigger than what you think.. I am talking to the player reading this post at the very moment ^_^)

So it's just Trackmania for the Wee (if you have one)? I thought it might've been a whole new next-generation Trackmania 2 or similar.

Florent's post is intriguing. :)

No, it isn't:

That means, they will present something new. :!: (TM-Wii was, as you said, known before)
I imagine it will be a new upgrade for pc.. because i don't think, they will release a new console-version before TM-Wii is finished.

OmG I'm so HAPPY!! :gobananas:

Google says that preview is currently the only one of Trackmania Wii :)

This news from Florent is very exciting, I wish it could've been announced at GamesCom in Germany! It's going to be a long week waiting

"The future of Trackmania" ....

Psycho-analysing the above wording, and taking into account the 50% blowout on the current Trackmania, I'm pretty sure it has to be a whole new, next-generation Trackmania, seeing as the word "future" literally points toward the start of something new, rather than merely an addition to something current (not that that wouldn't be equally welcome).

I guess good things come to those who wait. :)
