Re: The future of TrackMania
The environments in past TM games are nice. They change up track creation and gameplay with their unique blocks and physics. However, if the new TM has virtually unlimited block design capabilities the only thing adding more envoronments would do is add physics and backgrounds. I think add-on environments could be eliminated if there were multiple background styles to choose from when you enter the editor and multiple block physic types to choose from as well. IE: In TMUF when you enter the editor you choose and enviro and a time of day. In TM2 you could choose a time of day and a background style and inside the editor select block types with unique physics such as Tarmac, Dirt, Sand, Snow, Ice, Gravel, Blacktop, Mud etc... This would keep everything contained to one editor and you could create tracks with multiple physics types on it.
They could still come out later with add-on / expansion packs that contain Blocks, Cars, Backgrounds, Game modes etc.

I still play TMUF more than any other game and I'm sure TM2 will be even more addicting.

Re: The future of TrackMania
I still play it more than any of my other games as well. I just hope that Ubisoft will follow the same suit that they're doing with R.U.S.E. and ditch their stupid Online Services Platform for Trackmania 2 so we all can go back to wanting to buy it. I'd hate to miss out on such a wonderful game because of ridiculous DRM that no one has an interest in having on their computer.
Other than that, I'm freakin' stoked for TrackMania 2; can't wait to see more about it!
Thanks again, NADEO for such a fun game.

"TM losing players daily due to freezone changes" (why doesnt TM ever mention this part of it? i personally had friends leave after these changes took effect and now i am seriously considering joining them as TM has lost the allure it once had for me after these changes. i wish you all the best but how long before TM is crippled even further?
