Proposing a 24 hour TM race

Post by StevenMartin » 10 May 2009 15:26

[admins/mods - if this sort of post isn't allowed in here do remove it :)]

:o Please don't prejudge this folks, hear me out :)

I am proposing attempting to hold a TMN-Forever 24 hour race - or perhaps initially an endurance-style championship to get started - open to all who have the game. This would naturally have pit stops and driver changes; I have a system that I'm currently working on for the driver changes which I will report on if this goes any further.

Of course, a race like this requires alot of people - looking at around probably 6-8 drivers in a team I expect - so this is why I offer you all the idea in principle with the poll here. If there is support for the idea, we can try and sort out detals. If there's not much support, so be it :D

Do let me know what you think... dream big :sweet:

PS - I do have experience at organising races (at RFR), so I'm not going in this blind personally ;)

I wasn't saying that it was a bad idea, but maybe if you contact the =TEP= you could internationalise this competition, to open it to everyone, and not only french community.

I've played in the TEP 24H too and I'm not French. It is a fun competition but you need a pretty large team for it so not many new teams try it. Most entries are combinations of some French teams or a team with other random players added. It could also be marketed to international players more I guess :P
