Rankings of zones [new formula!]

We just switched the ranking formula for the zones: countries and regions.

The new way to compute is to take into account the top three players of each country into account.
We have observed this formula and the results are interesting and change more often. The most important thing is that it focus more on some players.

So, here is the formula:
Country points = 0.5 * Country 1st points + 0.333 * Country 2nd points + 0.166 * Country 3rd points

The current ranking is:

1. Hungary [97448.00]
2. Germany [96916.88]
3. Greece [96303.99]
4. France [96195.15]
5. Poland [95435.46]
6. Spain [94827.27]
7. Netherlands [94156.59]
8. Austria [93842.63]
9. Italy [93190.56]

We tested this formula on the 10/09 also, and the top 5 countries were:

Thus, this calculation is still only an average 3 best players in the National Ladder.
It is then almost the same as only a first (or feel free 3rd player) with an accuracy of about 99,99%.

Better still would review the calculation of the entire national rankings. If you play as an active 10% of players, so I would propose averaged (added together), 1st player points, and the player, which is to place 5% and 10% of the player places the nation (out of 100k players, this would be a player in 1st place, and to 5k location and 10k) - or feel free to choose a different weight, but the overall ranking.

Under a fixed order calculation is certainly inappropriate Player's strength and skill of the nation.

Fixed number of players rated the same sequence is still the same as select Top3, or Top 10 or Top100 ...
It is based on the number of active players, and choose whichever of each nationality.

Now i understand why since last week , a lot of Germane players are in the BELGIUM Ranking list

While it's good that the rankings change more often - it is worrying that you completely ignore other "normal" players. You should change the formula again to reflect everyone, not just a few players. I don't mind that you put emphasis on the top 3.
